Newton Abbot Repair Cafe

Repair Cafes are community events where skilled volunteers who enjoy fixing things are matched with people who bring along broken or damaged household items. Attendees are also invited to learn how to fix their own broken items alongside the repairers, instead of throwing them in the bin.

The repair café will initially run One Saturday a month with scope to expand if the need is there. We are hoping to have the first session in April and plan to have repairers on hand to be able to assist with a wide variety of things including:

  • Electrical repairs

  • Electronics

  • Bike repair

  • Jewelery repair

  • General fixing

  • Toys & Small Item

  • Sewing / Textiles / Clothing

There will also be repair workshops taking place to upskill attendees on various repair tasks.
